Data we collect

When you use Skate Hype, even if you're just browsing, we receive some personal information from you like the type of device you're using and your IP address. If you are a registered user you share additional information like name, address and age on a public profile. Your email address is private.

We use cookies for technical reasons like id, nick and session hash. We do not use trace cookies. There are no third party tracking cookies except when you visit a YouTube or Vimeo video, in which case you accept their respective cookie policies.

Advertising

We do not show any ads related to your personal information. We do not use services such as Google Analytics or Facebook Like Buttons that trace information.

Public content

Skate Hype is a public place on the Internet. All content you publish is immediately viewable, downloadable and searchable by anyone around the world, even after deletion from Skate Hype. All your content might already be copied to other locations on the Internet and/or used in other apps.

Private communication

We provide non-public ways to communicate through Direct Messages. You may also use Skate Hype under a pseudonym if you prefer not to use your real name.

Integration with third-party platforms and social networks

Skate Hype integrates with third-party platforms and social networks including but not limited to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and the Hive blockchain. These integrations are used to automatically publish skateboarding video content to our official accounts on these platforms.

These integrations only affect our own accounts and do not collect, store or process any personal data from users of those platforms. OAuth access tokens used for these integrations are stored securely on our server and are not shared with any third party.

For Hive blockchain specifically, integration is done using the Posting Authorization method, which allows Skate Hype to Post, Vote, Subscribe, Update Profile and Claim Rewards on behalf of users who explicitly grant this permission. Users can revoke this permission at any time.
